Tent Review
One of the most essential needs when camping is a tent. Whether you are car camping, backpacking or just having fun, a tent is vital to good shelter. There are several factors that one needs to evaluate when purchasing a tent. Some of those include: weight, size, weather and people.
Some of the tent companies to check out are Black Diamond, The North Face, Eureka!, Sierra Designs, Coleman, Kelty, Wenzel, Paha Que, REI, Marmont, GoLite, Columbia, Mountain Hardwear, and others.
You need to ask yourself what you will be primarily using the tent for? If you are car camping then you don’t need to worry about weight as if you were back packing where the lighter weight tents are generally better. How many seasons do you intend to use the tent, can it withstand the weather? Some seasons are rainier than other or hotter than others which would influence the type to purchase. Where are you going? Are you camping in the snow, rocky area, grassy field, or on the side of a cliff? You might want to consider a ‘footprint’ or full rain fly, taped seams or ventilation. Do your homework before you buy and you are guaranteed to have a great time enjoying the outdoors.
